The joint project EthaNa, funded nationally by the FNR and the BMEL, is now increasingly becoming the focus of foreign companies and research institutions. So every opportunity is used to make the extraordinary project known beyond the borders of Germany.
In June, the partners, B + B Engineering and Fraunhofer CBP, accepted the invitation to the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo, which was held as a virtual event due to the corona prevention measures. All lectures and research results were presented online, whereby individual interactions and questions were also possible via live Q&A chats.
The partners presented EthNa to the interested public on June 26, 2020 and met with great interest in the first successful pilot tests. The remarkable results increased the anticipation of the willing listeners for further pilot tests in the area of extraction and product processing.
Another possibility to present the current project progress internationally is used by the cooperation partners as part of the “World Congress on Oils & Fats”, which took place on February 12th of this year, back then as a personal event on site. Here, too, there were open interested parties for the novel process.
Since June 2020, the content of the EthaNa project homepage www.ethana.de has also been available internationally for English-speaking interested parties at home and abroad at www.ethana.eu. This is also intended to increase awareness and reach of the novel process.
